Team 1 v 2 and Team 3 v 4

Club Christmas meal will be after the game. As the catering has again changed in the restuarant, it will depend on the Christmas menu provided there as to whether we eat at the Peak or go elsewhere. There is a club donation of £5.00 per head against the cost of the meal on the night. Please come along even if you are not playing, you will still be entitled to the donation towards the cost of the meal.

Have a great Christmas and a Happy New Year.

bullions trophy
  • To celebrate the 125th Anniversary of the founding of the club, a christmas bonspiel was organised and it was intimated that Miss Kirsty Bullions was putting up a trophy for this.

  • At the Annual General Meeting held on 26th April 1982, Kirsty Bullions and her mother donated the trophy in memory of her father and brother, both sterling members of the club.

  • On 27th December 1982, the Bullions Trophy was first won by J D Muirhead's rink at the christmas bonspiel.

  • It has been played for annually at the christmas bonspiel ever since.

In 2016 everyone turned up and the constant rotation of players kept the game fresh. There were several well dressed supporters of the long standing tradition of wearing suitable Christmas attire as can be see on the left. Joan and Iain sweeping and Norman in the background.

On the right, the christmas dinner table.

Please note – everyone rotates up the rink after each end so that the team shares all the positions from lead to skip.

To balance the competition, it will be ends won that will count intitally, with the difference in shots counted in the event of a tie and total shots scored the decider should that be required.

This game has Position Rotation for a more Sociable Event........
